Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap with 3-year strategic foresight
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies (quantum, neuromorphic, bio-integrated systems)
- Identify and evaluate disruptive tech trends through patent analysis, academic partnerships, and global innovation scouting
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental projects with measurable ROI targets
- Present quarterly innovation briefings to the board with competitive benchmarking and market disruption potential
- Establish partnerships with leading research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) for collaborative R&D
- Mentor a 15-person innovation lab while fostering a culture of calculated risk-taking and rapid prototyping
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation with 5+ years in executive leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching commercially viable products from experimental research (portfolio required)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism from Tier 1 institution
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers on future technology trends
- Experience securing $10M+ in government grants or venture capital for experimental R&D
- Exceptional strategic communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Fluency in Mandarin, German, or Japanese for global collaboration
