Responsibilities
- Design and implement next-generation AI architectures for autonomous systems and cognitive computing
- Pioneer novel approaches to quantum machine learning and neural-symbolic integration
- Lead cross-functional projects with robotics, bioinformatics, and climate modeling teams
- Develop ethical frameworks for AI governance and bias mitigation protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at NeurIPS/ICML
- Mentor junior researchers through our AI Academy incubator program
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics with focus on AI/ML (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years in advanced AI development with 3+ publications in top-tier venues
- Expertise in transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and generative models
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale distributed computing (AWS/GCP)
- Portfolio of deployed AI systems with measurable impact metrics
- Strong background in AI ethics and responsible AI principles
- Ability to secure external research funding through grant writing
