Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with IEEE 7000 and EU AI Act standards
- Conduct algorithmic bias audits across machine learning pipelines using fairness metrics
- Lead cross-functional ethics committees to evaluate high-impact AI deployments
- Create stakeholder engagement strategies for transparent AI governance communication
- Monitor evolving regulations (e.g., state-level AI bills, international treaties) and adapt compliance protocols
- Author ethics-by-design guidelines for generative AI and autonomous systems
- Partner with product teams to implement ethical impact assessments pre-launch
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Expertise in algorithmic fairness, explainable AI (XAI), and bias mitigation techniques
- Deep familiarity with global AI regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.)
- Proven track record of implementing ethics frameworks in production AI environments
- Exceptional communication skills for translating technical ethics concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with responsible AI toolkits (e.g., IBM AI Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Public speaking experience at AI ethics conferences (NeurIPS, ICML Ethics Workshops)
