Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical evaluation frameworks for AI/ML systems
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments on large-scale datasets
- Develop privacy-preserving techniques for federated learning environments
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate ethical safeguards into AI workflows
- Lead research initiatives on explainable AI (XAI) and interpretability methods
- Author whitepapers and contribute to industry ethics consortia
- Mentor junior researchers on responsible AI practices
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field
- 3+ years researching AI ethics, algorithmic fairness, or responsible AI
- Published work in top-tier AI ethics or ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, etc.)
- Expertise in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and statistical analysis
- Strong background in philosophy of technology or moral philosophy
- Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration (tech, legal, policy)
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex ethical concepts into technical solutions
