Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical governance frameworks for generative AI systems
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI models for bias, fairness, and accountability
- Develop policy recommendations for federal AI regulation compliance (2030 horizon)
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical safeguards in AI development pipelines
- Present findings to industry consortiums and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior researchers in applied ethics methodologies
- Publish white papers on AI safety and alignment techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Proven track record developing AI ethics frameworks for autonomous systems
- Expertise in regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, upcoming US frameworks)
- Strong technical background in machine learning and data science
- Experience testifying before legislative bodies or industry panels
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics journals
- Certification in AI governance (e.g., CEGAI) preferred
