Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks for enterprise-wide AI systems
- Conduct risk assessments and ethical audits of machine learning models and data pipelines
- Lead cross-functional working groups to establish ethical AI standards and best practices
- Create transparent documentation for AI decision-making processes (model cards, datasheets)
- Advocate for ethical AI principles in product development and stakeholder communications
- Monitor emerging regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, US federal guidelines) and ensure compliance
- Mentor junior teams on responsible AI development methodologies
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Law, or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- 5+ years in AI governance, ethics, or compliance with focus on machine learning systems
- Deep understanding of fairness, accountability, and transparency (FAT) principles in AI
- Experience developing organizational policies for ethical technology deployment
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating algorithmic bias and societal impact
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, NIST AI RMF)
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
