Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics frameworks aligned with global standards and emerging regulations
- Lead cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate algorithmic bias and fairness risks
- Develop governance policies for high-impact AI deployments in regulated industries
- Partner with product teams to integrate ethical considerations into AI development lifecycles
- Represent the company in industry consortiums and regulatory discussions on AI governance
- Establish transparency and accountability mechanisms for AI decision-making systems
- Drive research on emerging ethical challenges in generative AI and autonomous systems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in AI/ML with 5+ years in ethics, compliance, or governance leadership
- Expertise in regulatory landscapes (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, state-level AI laws)
- Proven track record of implementing bias mitigation and fairness protocols
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field
- Experience with AI model explainability techniques (SHAP, LIME) and auditing
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to stakeholders
- Published research or thought leadership on AI ethics and societal impact
- Certification in AI governance (e.g., CEGAI, CAIGI) preferred
