You'll lead cross-disciplinary initiatives from our downtown Austin innovation hub, collaborating with MIT, Stanford, and the European Space Agency to solve humanity's most pressing challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum AI integration and carbon-negative infrastructure
- Lead moonshot projects in neuromorphic computing and decentralized digital identity systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with top-tier research institutions and government innovation labs
- Architect ethical frameworks for AI governance and autonomous system deployment
- Present foresight analyses to C-suite executives and board of directors quarterly
- Mentor a team of 15 futurists and PhD researchers in emerging tech domains
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through federal grants and venture partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Systems Engineering with 10+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on AI, quantum computing, or climate tech
- Proven track record of scaling tech initiatives from concept to $100M+ commercialization
- Expertise in futures methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies across 15+ jurisdictions
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Exceptional public speaking experience at TED, Davos, or equivalent global forums
