Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum AI, neurotech, climate tech) to inform 3-5 year strategic roadmaps
- Develop innovation frameworks for exponential growth in regulated industries
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable product features
- Partner with C-suite executives to align R&D priorities with market disruption forecasts
- Produce annual 'Tech Horizons 2026' report for investor and stakeholder briefings
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and future-proof architecture design
- Establish KPIs for measuring technological adoption curves and market readiness
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record of launching products with 3+ year development cycles
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate AI
- Certification in Futures Methodology (e.g., CFP, Foresight Practitioner)
- Published thought leadership on technological disruption (whitepapers, patents, or industry keynotes)
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., STEEP, Delphi method) and predictive analytics
- Experience securing $5M+ in R&D funding for speculative technology initiatives
