Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology roadmapping for 2026+ initiatives, identifying disruptive innovations and market opportunities
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (quantum computing, neural interfaces, AI ethics frameworks)
- Develop and present technology investment strategies to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish cross-functional innovation pods to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Author thought leadership content and represent the company at global tech conferences
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and research labs
- Mentor technical teams in future-proofing architectures and systems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with demonstrated impact on future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in at least three emerging technology domains (e.g., quantum computing, biotech convergence, Web3 infrastructure)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience securing $10M+ technology innovation budgets
- Proficiency in scenario planning methodologies and technology forecasting frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
