Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps for emerging domains including quantum AI and neural interfaces
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives identifying breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic frameworks for ethical AI governance and human-machine symbiosis
- Partner with C-suite executives to align R&D investments with future market demands
- Establish innovation ecosystems through academic-industry partnerships and venture scouting
- Present technology foresight briefings to global stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Champion agile innovation methodologies within traditional R&D environments
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology with 10+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in technology strategy with 2025+ horizon planning
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, neuromorphic computing)
- Published thought leadership on future technology trends (IEEE Nature Science etc.)
- Experience scaling innovation from concept to commercial deployment
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
