Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and market shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Architect and execute innovation roadmaps spanning AI integration, quantum computing applications, and sustainable tech ecosystems
- Direct cross-functional teams (data scientists, engineers, designers) in rapid prototyping and MVP development
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and industry disruptors
- Present innovation frameworks to the board and secure executive buy-in for high-impact initiatives
- Manage $10M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Develop talent pipeline for specialized future-tech roles (neural interface designers, climate AI specialists)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, product development, or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 scale impact
- Proven track record launching market-defining products or services with $100M+ revenue potential
- Expertise in emerging tech trends: Generative AI, quantum computing, bio-integration, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Innovation Management, or related field
- Certifications in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) or Technology Foresight methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major innovations implemented or scaled within complex organizations
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
