Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and launching groundbreaking products/services targeting 2026 market needs
- Establish strategic partnerships with research labs, startups, and industry leaders to accelerate innovation cycles
- Conduct horizon scanning and scenario planning to anticipate technological shifts and competitive threats
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $10M for high-priority innovation initiatives
- Mentor a diverse team of 15+ specialists in design thinking, agile methodologies, and emerging tech
- Present innovation strategies and progress to the board and executive stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in innovation management, product development, or strategic consulting with proven 10+ year vision execution
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech convergence, or Web3 infrastructure
- Track record of launching products with >$100M market impact or scaling startups to unicorn status
- Certified in Design Thinking, Lean Startup, and Futures methodologies
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with executive presence and public speaking credentials at global forums
