Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps across emerging domains including AI ethics, space commercialization, and climate engineering
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities and threats
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future-proof strategies into core business operations
- Manage a portfolio of moonshot projects with $5M+ annual budgets and global impact potential
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team of futurists, data scientists, and industry pioneers
- Present strategic foresight findings to Fortune 500 partners and government entities
- Drive patent development for breakthrough innovations targeting 2026 market readiness
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record of delivering commercialized solutions from conceptual moonshot projects
- Expertise in at least three of these domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced materials, or decentralized systems
- Strong quantitative modeling skills with experience in scenario planning and impact assessment
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- PhD or equivalent in relevant field (preferred) with published research in futures studies
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D grants from DARPA, NSF, or similar institutions
