Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI, biotech, climate, etc.) to map 5-10 year strategic pathways
- Develop '2026 Horizons' frameworks for R&D and product innovation pipelines
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' with engineers, designers, and ethicists
- Produce foresight reports for C-suite and board-level decision-making
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks
- Anticipate regulatory and ethical implications of emerging technologies
- Mentor next-gen futurists and build internal foresight capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published thought leadership on future technologies/trends
- Expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial impact
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical audiences
