As our lead futurist, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D pioneers, and global thought partners to transform speculative possibilities into actionable strategies. Your insights will directly influence product roadmaps, investment decisions, and innovation culture across our Silicon Valley headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data (AI, biotech, climate tech) to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities
- Develop 5-10 year innovation roadmaps with measurable impact milestones
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed futurist thinking into product development
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote industry conferences
- Partner with venture capital team to evaluate next-gen startup investments
- Establish ethical frameworks for emerging technology implementation
- Mentor internal 'futures intelligence' task force across departments
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in innovation strategy, futurism, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial products
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Published author or recognized thought leader in futurism
- Advanced degree in technology, foresight, or strategic innovation
- Portfolio showcasing trend-impact analysis and innovation frameworks
