Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-10 year technology roadmaps for emerging fields
- Identify and validate disruptive innovations through market analysis and patent research
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and quantum computing labs
- Present future-tech frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budgets for experimental projects
- Develop ethical frameworks for next-gen AI and autonomous systems
- Drive thought leadership through whitepapers and industry conferences
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or related field
- 10+ years in R&D leadership at top-tier tech companies
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, AGI, or climate tech
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of exponential technology trends (Singularity University preferred)
- Exceptional strategic planning and systems thinking abilities
- Experience securing federal grants and DARPA-level funding
