Responsibilities
- Develop and implement technology strategies aligned with 2026 market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum, AR/VR, decentralized systems)
- Conduct competitive analysis of emerging technologies and identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-backed insights
- Establish KPIs to measure innovation ROI and technology adoption success
- Partner with R&D to incubate experimental technologies with 5-year commercialization paths
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to market leadership
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI governance, or Web3 infrastructure
- Certified in Future Tech Strategy (FTS) or equivalent foresight methodology
- Experience with scenario planning for technological disruption (2020-2030 horizon)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management
- Prior experience in Austin's tech ecosystem preferred
