Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and finance
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate superconducting qubits
- Lead open-source quantum software projects on GitHub
- Publish 2-3 peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature Physics/Quantum
- Present research at IEEE Quantum Week and APS March Meeting
- mentor PhD interns in quantum machine learning techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science
- Expertise in quantum annealing or NISQ-era systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Security clearance eligibility (government projects)
- Fluency in Python/C++ and quantum circuit optimization
