Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmap targeting 2026 commercial viability milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Pioneer novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, drug discovery, and climate modeling
- Secure $15M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on quantum networking protocols
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable quantum hardware innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proven track record leading quantum computing projects with hardware-software integration
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and algorithm optimization
- Experience securing government research grants exceeding $10M
- Deep knowledge of superconducting qubit architectures and cryogenic systems
