Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research programs targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead a team of 8+ researchers in developing novel quantum algorithms and error-correction protocols
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify quantum-advantage use cases in finance, logistics, and healthcare
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum computing conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers while maintaining hands-on technical leadership
- Drive quantum hardware-software co-design initiatives with engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quipper)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
