Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year technology foresight framework using predictive analytics and trend synthesis
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology)
- Produce strategic white papers and scenario planning documents for C-suite stakeholders
- Build and manage an external network of academic, startup, and industry futurists
- Advise on ethical implications of emerging technologies and governance frameworks
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board committees
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Deep expertise in at least 3 emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, AR/VR)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into actionable business strategies
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
- Experience with scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis tools
- Published thought leadership in technology or innovation publications
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology roadmap implementations
