Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions relevant to 2026
- Develop comprehensive strategic frameworks for long-term organizational adaptation and innovation pipelines
- Present foresight insights to C-suite executives and translate complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prioritize future-focused research initiatives and technology investments
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry experts for continuous intelligence gathering
- Design scenario-planning models to prepare the organization for multiple potential futures
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations on future trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into measurable business outcomes
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and their societal impacts
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Published author or frequent speaker at global futurism conferences
- Portfolio demonstrating successful strategic foresight projects
