Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across biotech, AI, quantum computing, and sustainable energy sectors
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for disruptive product innovation and market entry
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to embed future-thinking into product development cycles
- Partner with venture capital team to identify and evaluate emerging startups and technologies
- Author quarterly foresight reports and scenario-planning frameworks for executive leadership
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global innovation forums and thought leadership summits
- Mentor innovation lab teams in applying future-proof methodologies to prototype development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in exponential technology assessment and scenario planning methodologies
- Published thought leadership on emerging trends in tech or sustainability
- Experience with AI-driven trend analysis tools and futures forecasting platforms
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Portfolio demonstrating successful innovation initiatives launched in the past 5 years
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight academy)
