Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, bioinformatics)
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews to identify strategic opportunities
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to executive stakeholders and investors
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental technology initiatives
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote speeches at industry conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, blockchain)
- Expertise in futures methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts
