Responsibilities
- Lead the 2026 Strategic Roadmap: Design and execute a comprehensive AI architectural vision that aligns with Horizon Systems' long-term business goals.
- System Architecture Design: Create scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures for large-scale machine learning applications and AI integrations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to translate complex data requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Pilot Implementation: Oversee the development and deployment of high-impact AI pilots, ensuring rapid iteration and measurable results.
- Tech Stack Optimization: Evaluate and integrate emerging AI frameworks and hardware accelerators to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Compliance & Ethics: Establish governance frameworks to ensure AI models adhere to ethical standards and regulatory compliance (GDPR, AI Act).
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior AI architecture or machine learning engineering role.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think several years into the future and design systems that scale effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading high-performance teams and driving technical decision-making.
