Responsibilities
- Analyze convergence patterns in quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech, and climate tech to identify 2026-2030 inflection points
- Develop scenario-planning models for 3-5 year horizons incorporating geopolitical, economic, and technological variables
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' workshops with R&D, product, and venture teams
- Produce annual 'State of the Future' reports for executive board and investor briefings
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other future-focused institutions
- Translate complex trend analyses into product roadmaps and investment theses
- Mentor junior innovation strategists in future forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercial applications
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum systems, synthetic biology, AGI governance, or climate engineering
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with proficiency in trend visualization tools (Tableau, Flourish)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term technological disruption
- PhD or Master's in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successfully commercialized innovation frameworks
