Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technological roadmaps across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Lead incubation of moonshot projects with $10M+ annual R&D budgets
- Forge strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and DARPA
- Present futuristic visions to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Drive patent development for emerging technologies
- Mentor a team of 15+ researchers and engineers
- Author thought leadership for industry publications
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership at FAANG or equivalent
- Published research in Nature/Science on AI or quantum systems
- Proven track record scaling teams from prototype to production
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Strong network with venture capital and government funding agencies
- Public speaking experience at TED or similar forums
